Severe Storms Possible This Weekend Amid Warming Temps: MI Weather
All of southeastern Michigan is under a slight risk (level 2/5) for severe thunderstorms Sunday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Severe thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan this weekend as temperatures warm, according to the National Weather Service.
The first round of rain and thunderstorms moves into the region during the afternoon hours Friday when highs reach the mid-60s, according to the weather service.
The stormy weather will clear out of the region by the nighttime hours, but more rain and thunderstorms will return Saturday afternoon when highs hit the 70s, according to the weather service.

The strongest storms of the weekend are expected to move into the area Sunday afternoon when highs climb toward 70 degrees, according to the weather service.

Forecasters warned the storms could include heavy downpours, gusty winds, hail and even an isolated tornado.
The stormy weather will continue into the nighttime hours Sunday when a cold front moves into the area and knocks temperatures back down into the 50s, according to the weather service.
