MICHIGAN — A small-town Michigan teen is among the final 8 contestants on NBC's "The Voice."
Iris Herrera, 19, from Newaygo, has made it to the fifth round after her Playoffs Round performance on April 28 when she sang "White Horse" by Chris Stapleton.
She performed the song in a cropped black jacket covered in dangling crosses and metallic pants with a raspy belt, making for an old-school rock and roll feel.

As a member of singer Kelsea Ballerini's team, Herrera's coach said that she was "like a rock chick."
Once the Live Performance shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. The television audience will then vote until one is named the winner. At the end of the competition, one Artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.
