These Are The 3 Priciest Zip Codes In MI

All three zip codes are located along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

MICHIGAN — A new analysis has identified the three priciest zip codes in Michigan, and they're all located along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

According to a recent analysis from RealtyHop, the top three priciest ZIP codes in the Wolverine State are:

  • 49434 (Macatawa): $1,619,000
  • 49654 (Leland): $1,290,000
  • 49116 (Lakeside): $1,250,000

To determine the country’s costliest zip codes, RealtyHop analyzed over 3 million for-sale listings in its database from Jan. 1 to Oct. 15, sorting them by zip code and ranking the codes by median list price.

In Michigan, the Macatawa zip code of 49434 was the most expensive, with a median list price of $1.619 million, the real estate website reported. The area "has high buyer demand for its waterfront property along Lake Michigan," the analysis said.

Leland code was 49654 the second-priciest at $1.29 million and Lakeside code 49116 came in third at $1.25 million.

Nationally, Northern California code 94027 in Atherton took the top spot for the fifth year in a row, with a median price of $7.75 million, according to RealtyHop. It was followed by Miami Beach code 33109 in Florida at $6.1 million and Sagaponack code 11962 in New York at just under $6 million.

The least expensive zip code on the list is Rogers, Arkansas, with a median list price of $408,403.
