These Were MI's Most Popular Baby Names In 2024

Here's how Michigan's most popular baby names compare to national favorites.

MICHIGAN — Noah and Charlotte are once again the most popular baby names right now in Michigan, according to 2024 data recently released by the Social Security Administration.

There were roughly 488 boys named Noah and 382 girls named Charlotte last year, making them Michigan's most popular baby names for the fourth straight year, according to the data.

Nationally, Olivia and Liam were America's favorite names again, for the fifth year in a row, according to the data.

The Social Security Administration also shows which names are trending. For girls, the top five fastest-rising names in 2023 were: Ailany, Aylani, Marjorie, Scottie and Analeia. For boys, the names climbing fastest were: Truce, Colsen, Bryer, Halo and Azaiah.
