MI Troopers Find Missing 2-Year-Old In Ditch Wearing Only Diaper: MSP

Troopers said the 2-year-old​ was not injured, but he was still taken to a nearby hospital for further evaulation.

JACKSON COUNTY, MI — Troopers found a missing 2-year-old boy in a ditch near Interstate 94 in Jackson County on Saturday, according to police.

Family members told officers the child was last seen watching TV at 8:40 p.m. Saturday in the home on Pheasant Run Drive in Blackman Township, according to police.

Police learned of the disappearance about an hour later and began searching the area.

Officials searched the area for roughly two hours before a trooper inside a Michigan State Police helicopter located a heat signature in a ditch near Interstate 94 and Airport Road, according to police.

Officers found the child in the ditch, curled up and wearing only a diaper, according to police.

Although the child was cold, he was alert and conscious, according to police.

Police said the 2-year-old was not injured, but he was still taken Henry Ford Hospital where he was in good condition, according to police.
