A light rain fell as the annual Our Lady of La Salette Fall FunFest got under way Friday evening in Berkley, but it didn't dampen spirits.

"Every year, I wait for this," Berkley resident Karen Koerber said as she shopped the Fall FunFest garage sale. "My father went to school here, my kids went to school here. I love the festival, I think it's a great time."

Friday's wet weather is expected to continue through the weekend. The National Weather Service predicts showers and a high of 62 degrees Saturday and a chance of showers Sunday with a high of 58 degrees.

Fortunately, there are plenty of Fall FunFest activities for less hardy souls who don't want to brave the elements, including the garage sale, Vegas night, a beer tent, food, live entertainment, a $5,000 raffle drawing, a buffet dinner and more.
