The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch that is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for all of Oakland County. The forecasting agency warns that storms this afternoon and evening could bring wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour and hail up to 1 inch in diameter. Isolated tornadoes also will be possible, according to the NWS.
