After Attempted Break-In and Jewelry Theft, Holiday Thieves Target Chapin Avenue
Residents living on Chapin said someone stole jewelry from their home while another says someone tried to kick in their door days before Christmas.

Thives may have targeted Chapin Avenue this Christmas after jewelry was stolen from one home and another resident reported an attempted break-in only a few blocks away.
Police say someone tried to break into a home on the 1500 block of Chapin earlier this week. According to police reports, someone broke two windows and kicked the front and side doors of the home sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Christmas Day. Police say it doesn't appear anyone entered the home and nothing is currently missing.
However, a resident living on the 1300 block of Chapin reported that someone broke their home's window sometime between 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Monday. Jewelry is missing from the home, police say.
