Sheetz Opening New Metro Detroit Location Next Week

WARREN, MI — Sheetz is planning to open a new metro Detroit location next week.

The new store will open at 9 a.m. on Dec. 30 at 31925 Van Dyke Avenue in Warren. This will be Sheetz's fourth Michigan location.

Other Detroit-area stores that are expected to open in 2026 include:

• 8200 Telegraph Road, Taylor
• 20623 Eureka Road, Taylor
• 45011 Garfield Road, Macomb
• 28030 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville
• 19001 East 9 Mile Road, Eastpointe
• 2103 West Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti
• Southwest corner of 14 Mile and Utica roads in Fraser
• 45075 North Gratiot Avenue, Macomb
• 5970 12 Mile Road, Warren
• 29455 Grand River Avenue, Farmington Hills
• 39471 West 12 Mile Road, Novi

Overall, Sheetz wants to open 50-60 locations across Michigan over the next five to six years. They opened their first Michigan store roughly 4 miles from Detroit Metro Airport last summer.

While many metro Detroit communities have welcomed Sheetz, some have rejected site plans after residents voiced concerns about traffic, noise and light pollution.

The chain is best known for its award-winning Made-to-Order menu, which allows residents, or "Sheetz Freakz" to order any of Sheetz’s customized drinks or food items around the clock.
