Kathryn Ambrose and Diane Kowaleski will interview for two open spots on the Public Arts Board, to complete three-year terms that would expire in January 2014.

All items listed on the consent agenda are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion and approved by a roll call vote. There will be no separate discussion of the items unless a commissioner or citizen so requests.
- Approving $9,950.25 to be paid to KLM Landscaping for materials and planting costs for the spring 2012 season.
- Approving the contract of Todd Greenlee, a professional golf instructor, for the 2012 season.
- Approving $18,760 to be paid to Doetsch Environmental Services for emergency sewer main cleaning and televising.
- Approving the use of five parking spaces on South Eton to fulfill a portion of the off-street parking requirements for the business at 250 S. Eton. Currently, the space used to house the now-closed Eton Street Market. The beauty salon next door, , is looking to expand into the empty space.
Unfinished Business
- A resolution adopting the Woodward Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Corridor Study as the plan that supports multi-jurisdictional planning efforts along the Woodward Corridor, particularly plans that seek to develop the corridor in a manner consistent with the existing goals and objectives of Birmingham. In addition, the Planning Board is directed to consider the TOD Corridor Study when considering updates to Master Plans and recommending ordinance amendments.
New Business
- Public hearing to consider the vacation of Hazel Street from Woodward to Elm Street. This portion of Hazel would serve a private parking lot for Greentree Investment Co. There would be a 50-foot-wide easement for public utilities and pedestrians.
- A public hearing of necessity to consider the installation of lateral sewers within the Graefield Road Paving project area.
- A resolution increasing the monthly parking permit price at the Garage to $35 a month.
- Approving the payment of at most $6,396 to Native Connections for improving the no-mow areas of , including correcting the wet areas, expanding the sandbox area and transplanting several locust trees.
- Approving the purchase of all permanent and temporary bike racks, at a cost not to exceed $15,000, as proposed in Phase I of the Downtown Bicycle Parking Plan.
- Approving the liquor license request of Social Kitchen, which is requesting a new Class C liquor license for their restaurant at 223-225 E. Maple Rd.
- Approving the liquor license request of the Griffin Claw Brewery, which is seeking a new Micro Brewer License, new Small Distiller License and new Small Wine Maker License for their restaurant to be located at 575 S. Eton. They are also seeking a new Outdoor Service Permit and Sunday Sales permit.
- Approving the Intergovernmental Contract between Birmingham and Beverly Hills, so the two cities can share police dispatch services.
- Approving the purchase of new 911 emergency services, at a cost of $106,883.
Also at Monday night's meeting, the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by members of Scout Troop 1001.
