Volunteers Needed for Public Knitting Project

Are you a fan of knitting? Birmingham needs your help.

The Birmingham Public Arts Board is seeking interested individuals or groups to assist with a public art project involving knitting large-scale objects for placement on or near existing public art installations.

The project is intended to involve the Birmingham community in an interactive public art project and raise awareness for public art in Birmingham.

A kick-off meeting will be held at 6 p.m. March 27 to introduce potential volunteers to the overall concept of the project and will include opportunities for sharing ideas, questions and comments. The meeting will be held at .
