Yard Waste Collection Resumes This Week

Due to the mild weather, Birmingham's yard waste collection service will resume two weeks earlier than scheduled.

Beginning this week, residents may place their yard waste in rigid 35-gallon containers marked with a "Yard Waste Recycling Sticker," or a 30-gallon Kraft-type paper yard waste bags. Plastic bags with yard waste will not be picked up.

Yard waste recycling stickers are available at the Department of Public Services at 851 S. Eton. For more information, contact the DPS at 248-530-1700.
