
International award-winning pianist and star of Emmy-nominated PBS program “Marina at West Point: Unity through Diversity”, Marina Arsenijevic will perform Piano Adventures with Nan Washburn and the Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra at the Seligman Performing Arts Center at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills Michigan on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 7:30pm.
The Michigan Phil will begin this special evening with “Adventures on Earth” by John Williams. Marina will then join the orchestra to perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor along with Gershwin’s Classical-Jazz masterpiece Rhapsody in Blue, in honor of Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson.
Marina’s beauty is surpassed only by her artistry and passion for bringing cultural unity through music. These pursuits have led her to perform throughout the world including major venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Chicago Symphony Center, Toronto Centre for the Arts and many others.

Proceeds from this memorable evening will benefit The Rainbow Connection, a charity founded by Mr. Patterson and dedicated to making dreams come true for Michigan children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. In fact, the most popular wish for many of these children is a trip to Walt Disney World.
