August Events Not to Miss at the Bloomfield Township Library
Check out these entertaining and educational opportunities at the Bloomfield Township Public Library this month.

August is here, and there are plenty of events planned to keep you and your children busy at the Bloomfield Township Public Library before summer's end. Here are some highlights:
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. Join entertainer Eugene Clark as he leads the journey to discover the magic of volcanoes, lava, dinosaurs, fossils, earthquakes and other amazing things below the Earth’s surface. The event is free and no registration is required.Ice Cream Social
Aug. 9, 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Celebrate summer and the conclusion of the BTPL's “Dig into Reading” summer program with an ice cream party. All ages are welcome and no registration is required.After-Hours Teen Lock-In
Aug. 9, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Local teens between 13 and 18 will compete in fun scavenger hunts and games of hide and seek with other teens. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Pre-registration and parental permission is required.Second Saturday Sale
Aug. 10, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Friends of the BTPL will host their monthly book sale in the library's lower level. The first hour is for Friends’ members only and there is no fee to attend.Making Sense of Sensory Systems
August 20, from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Learn how children use the five senses to learn and grow, and discover strategies to help develop your child’s sensory system during an Early On Oakland, Family Support Services workshop for parents and caregivers.
