High School Senior Named To Greek National Lacrosse Team

Bloomfield Hills High Student To Compete At World Championships In Israel

The Bloomfield Hills Schools announced that Bloomfield High School senior Jack Maher-Gogonis earned a spot on the Greek National Lacrosse team. This summer, Maher-Gogonis will compete at the 2018 Men's Lacrosse World Championships in Israel. According to the school district’s announcement, “As a member of the team, Jack will also serve as an ambassador of the sport and a representative of the people of Greece.”

Maher-Gogonis tried out for the team at events in New Jersey and the at Furman University in South Carolina. In addition to being a 3-year varsity lacrosse player, Maher-Gogonis was 2017’s Defensive Player of the Year for Michigan high school Lacrosse, and named as an all-star goalie at the Blue Chip Showcase in Massachusetts.
