Notre Dame Edges Past Michigan in NCAA March Madness
The No. 11 University of Michigan Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish met in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Friday.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the University of Michigan Wolverines, 70-63, in the first-round of the March Madness NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
No. 11 Michigan led at halftime, but the Fighting Irish came back strong after the break, with the lead seesawing back and forth in the hard-fought game.
The loss follows a loss earlier in the day when No. 2 Michigan State was upset by No. 15 Middle Tennessee State, 90-81.

The loss ended the season that many expected to include a trip to the Final Four and perhaps the Spartans’ first national championship since 2000. MSU is the only the eighth No. 2 seed in the history of the NCAA Tournament to fall to a No. 15 seed.

Michigan and Northern Iowa both with decent halftime leads...if they hold, 11 seeds will be 4-0 against the 6s in first round #MarchMadness
