UPDATED: More Bloomfield Township Residents Without Power After Storms
Nearly 1,400 DTE customers in Bloomfield Township are among the 130,000 impacted around Metro Detroit by Friday's storms.

Updated 11 p.m.: The majority of homes in Bloomfield Township that lost power during Friday's storms now have service restored, according to the DTE outage map. Roughly 520 customers between Wing Lake and Inkster Road north of Maple Road still lack service and may have to wait until Sunday night.
More than 1,300 DTE customers in Bloomfield Township were expected to be without power until late Sunday night as crews continued to make repairs to lines impacted by Friday's storms.
The majority of residents affected (842 customers) were in the area near Franklin and Lone Pine roads around the Wabeek Golf Course. Power returned there by 11 p.m. Saturday.
The customers between Wing Lake and Inkster Road north of Maple Road also lost power at about 6 p.m. Friday. They were among the 130,000 customers in Oakland Macomb and Wayne Counties that experienced outages due to the severe thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service predicts an isolated shower or two Saturday afternoon, and sunny skies and less humidity Sunday, with high temperatures between 75 and 80.
