Motorcyclist Killed In Oakland Co. Crash During Police Chase: Cops

BLOMMFIELD HILLS, MI — A motorcyclist was killed in a Sunday crash in Oakland County, according to police.
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the area of Woodward Avenue and Long Lane Road in Bloomfield Hills, according to police.
Police said officers tried to stop a speeding motorcycle that was moving south on Woodward near Hickory Grove Road, but the motorcyclist sped away. The speeding motorcyclist was then spotted near Long Lane Road by another officer, who said the motorcyclist was ignoring "multiple traffic control devices."

The speeding motorcyclist sped through the intersection, ignoring a red light, and struck a car that was moving eastbound and had the right of way, according to police.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and hit multiple objects in the median of Woodward Avenue, according to police.
