Police Identify Larceny Suspects From Bloomfield Township Costco

The Bloomfield Township Police Department sought the public's help with these larceny suspects.

Detectives with the Bloomfield Township Police Department continue to investigate a theft report from Costco in which at the suspect are now identified.

Investigators have had contact with the couple captured in surveillance video leaving the store at the time of the alleged theft, but no charges were filed as of Monday. The identities of the suspects will not be released until if and when charges are filed.

The department released a photo of a couple last week and asked for tips to identify them after officers took a report of larceny. Police said the couple entered the Costco on June 28th and left with a bag of photography equipment that belonged to an outside vendor conducting business within the store, reports said. The equipment was valued at about $1,000.

The first suspect is described as a white woman with dark hair, likely in her 30’s, wearing blue jeans and a blue top. The second suspect is described as a white man, with sandy brown hair, probably in his 50’s. He wore glasses, blue jeans and a striped shirt.

Lt. Phil Langmeyer said Monday that authorities identified one of the suspects based on that information and continue to investigate the case.
