Semi-Truck Crash Snarls Traffic on Woodward
The truck and at least one other vehicle collided and came to rest right outside the Radisson Thursday morning.
Officers with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety are still on the scene of a crash involving a semi-trailer and at least one other vehicle just south of the Woodward Avenue and Long Lake Road intersection.
The crash occurred before 9 a.m. and backed-up traffic on Woodward beyond Hickory Grove Road. Police cruisers and fire trucks blocked three lanes of southbound Woodward right at the Radisson at one point while two tow trucks removed the vehicles.
The semi, a double load gravel hauler, struck a large tree in front of the Radisson. The status of any of the drivers involved was not immediately available.
