SKIN: 13, Day on the Town, Fine Art Fair and More Going on This Weekend

AVANTI Summer MusicFest 2013

The festival concludes with a full orchestra concert Friday, July 26 at the First United Methodist Church 1589 W. Maple Rd. in Birmingham.
Ticket prices have been lowered to $20 with a special patron/preferred seating ticket price of $50, and can be purchased online at: http://www.avantisummermusicfest.org/festival-concerts/ or reserved by calling 313-530-5118.

Day On The Town

Birmingham's signature downtown shopping event returns from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Walk through the streets of downtown as vehicle traffic is blocked off for local merchants to show showcase their best deals of the summer. Live music, children's activities and other entertainment are planned.

SKIN: 13' | 5 YEAR Anniversary! | Melanoma Benefit

Join a celebration featuring hors d'oeuvres provided by Mon Jin Lau & Faithfully Yours Desserts, cocktails, dancing, silent auction and a live fashion event benefiting the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at 22930 Woodward Ave. in Ferndale. 

Orchard Lake Fine Art Fair

Browse through artists booths, listen to live music and enjoy food and beverages at this annual event, located south of Maple and west of Orchard Lake Road, on Powers and Daly Roads. Parking is free around the site; admission is $5, or free to children 12 and under. Hours are: Friday, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Temple Beth El Community Concert

Listen to the "Sounds of Sinatra" starring Mark Randisi and the Johnny Trudell Orchestra at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28. The concert is free but tickets are required.  Call 248-851-1100 to receive your tickets.
