Teen Injured in Alcohol-Related Crash on Square Lake Road
The 16-year-old boy was behind the wheel of a car that overturned on westbound Square Lake Road Saturday, police said.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are investigating a crash involving a teenager Saturday and could use your help.Â
Anyone that was in the area of Square Lake Road and Klingensmith at about 1:30 a.m. and witnessed a single-vehicle crash is asked to call the department at 248-433-7749. Officers responded to the area after receiving a call and found a 2005 Mercedes two-door vehicle overturned, Sgt. Craig Shackleford said. The driver, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not disclosed Wednesday.Â
The initial investigation showed the driver left the roadway on westbound Square Lake Road before crashing. Schackleford said both alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.Â
Members of the Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team (SOCCIT) assisted on the scene and continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
