The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will consider the final language regarding the sale of bonds to pay off more tan $80 million in pension liability at their meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Township Hall. The measure, decided in May, was the topic to two recent town hall meetings where residents raised concerns about projected returns and township finances.

Tuesday Evening Ruff Readers. Join animals certified by Therapy Dogs International for a relaxing reading session from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Baldwin Public Library. Good for ages 6 and older. Registration required and available at 248-554-4683.

Baseball Event at BTPL Meet Kerrie Ferrell, author of “Rick Ferrell, Knuckleball Catcher,” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bloomfield Township Public Library. The presentation includes historical baseball photos from the career of Rick Ferrell, who caught all nine innings of the first MLB All-Star Game in 1933. Ferrell went on to have a 43-year career (1950-92) as a Detroit Tigers coach, scout, and front office executive that helped assemble both the 1968 and 1984 World Series championship teams. He is also a member of theNational Baseball Hall of Fame.

Free Community Shred Day Take a pro-active step to prevent identity theft, and remove some clutter at the free shredding event sponsored by mBank Birmingham, the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and E-Shred., at Seaholm High School 2436 West Lincoln. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the community. A three-box maximum applies.

Day on the Town. Like shopping in Birmingham? Then you will not want to miss the city's largest shopping event of the year. Day on the Town returns Saturday with live music, children's activities and a Corvette show. From 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., discounted merchandise will be on display around Maple Road and Old Woodward Avenue, which will be closed to vehicle traffic.
