Woman, 20, Dead In Rollover Crash On I-75 In Oakland County: Police

Police believe drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash and were waiting for toxicology results.​

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman was killed in a Monday rollover crash on Interstate 75 in Oakland County, according to police.

The crash happened at 9 p.m. Monday on the freeway near Squirrel Road in Bloomfield Township, according to police.

Police said a 20-year-old Livonia woman was driving south on Interstate 75 near Squirrel Road where she lost control and went off the road. The woman was ejected from the car as it rolled over multiple times before it landed in a ditch, police said.

Police determined the woman was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to Trinity Health Oakland Hospital where she died, police said.

A 21-year-old Inkster man, who was a passenger in the car, was also injured in the crash, police said.

He was also taken to the hospital where he was released with minor injuries, police said.

Police determined he was wearing a seatbelt.
