1 Dead, 4 Hurt In 3-Car Crash On US 23 In Livingston County: Police
Investigators believe alcohol and drugs played a role in the first crash.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI — A man was killed and three other people were injured in a Wednesday morning three-car crash in Livingston County, according to Michigan State Police.
A 33-year-old Grand Blanc woman was stopped on the shoulder of northbound US 23 near Clyde Road in Livingston County at 1:25 a.m. with car trouble, police said.
A 60-year-old Howell man was driving north on US 23 near Clyde Road with two passengers and swerved off the road and struck the woman's disabled car, police said.

The crash sent the woman's disabled car into a ditch, causing it to rollover, while the second car became disabled in the right lane of travel, police said.
The second car was then struck by a third car that was driven by a 57-year-old Fenton woman, police said.

The 60-year-old Howell man was killed in the crash and a 58-year-old passenger in the same car was taken to Ascension Genesis Hospital in Grand Blanc with critical injuries, police said.
The third passenger in the second car was also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The drivers of the other two cars were also taken to the hospital for non-life- threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators believe alcohol and drugs played a role in the first crash.
Police were still investigating the crash.
