2 Dead In Crash Involving Racing Motorcycles On Old US-23: Police
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
BRIGHTON, MI — Two people were killed in a crash involving a motorcycle in Brighton on Sunday, according to Michigan State Police.
Police said two motorcycles were racing each other on Old US-23 just north of Grand River Avenue at 6:40 p.m. when one of the motorcycles slammed into a minivan, which was turning left onto Loch Lomond Road.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old from South Lyon, and a 64-year-old woman from Fenton, who was a passenger in the minivan were killed in the crash, according to police.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, but it wasn't strapped on and came off during the collision, according to police.
The other motorcyclist did not stop and fled the scene, according to police.
