3 Dead, 2 Hurt In Easter Morning Rollover Crash In Metro Detroit: Cops

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

TYRONE TOWNSHIP, MI — Three people were killed and two others were injured in a Sunday morning rollover crash on US-23 in Livingston County, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said a car was moving south on US-23 near Fausett Road in Tyrone Township (roughly 20 miles north of Brighton) at 8:30 a.m. when the driver lost control of the car.

The car then left the roadway and rolled over, according to police.

A 44-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were killed in the crash, according to police.

An 18-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.

The driver, a 44-year-old man was also taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.

Troopers said everyone in the car was family, but they did not say whether the adults were the younger victims’ parents.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

No other details about the crash were released by police.

The highway where the crash happened was shut down for hours Sunday while troopers investigated.
