Livingston County Man Wins $1.15M Lotto 47 Jackpot
A Livingston County man is still taking it all in after winning a big prize from the Michigan Lotto.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI β A Livingston County man is still taking it all in after winning a big prize from the Michigan Lotto.
The lucky 64-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $1.15 million after matching the winning Lotto 47 numbers (02-09-20-22-24-39) drawn Jan. 7, according to the Michigan Lottery.
He bought his winning ticket at the Kroger store, located at 9700 Chilson Commons Circle in Pinckney, which is roughly 20 miles northwest of Ann Arbor, according to the Michigan Lottery.

He said he plays the Lotto 47 often and uses a special set of numbers made up of his kidβs birthdates, according to the Michigan Lottery.
"I was checking the winning numbers online the day after the drawing, and when I realized Iβd won the jackpot, I couldnβt believe it! I called my kids right away to tell them the good news, and they didnβt believe it either," he said. "Winning still feels unreal and hasnβt sunk in quite yet."

He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $797,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, share with his family and then save the remainder.
