Snow Emergency in Effect for Brighton

The City of Brighton has declared a snow emergency and until further notice, vehicles are prohibited from street parking along the City's designated Emergency Snow Route.

The national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory indicating potential for significant accumulation of snow.

According to a press release from the City of Brighton, all vehicles parked along the designated snow emergency route shall be towed by authorization of the Police Chief after all reasonable attempts are made to inform the vehicle owner.

Beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, until further notice, vehicles are prohibited from street parking along the City’s designated Emergency Snow Route. The owners of said vehicles towed shall pay all related fees.

The streets designated as the city’s emergency snow route include: 

  • Grand River Ave.
  • Main Street
  • S. Third Street
  • Brighton Lake Rd.  
  • Rickett Road
  • S. Church Street
  • Spencer Road
  • Liberty Street
  • Flint Road
