Taste of Brighton And More This Weekend

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are some events you should know about in the Brighton area.

1. Taste of Brighton

• When: July 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Where: Downtown Brighton
• What: Brighton's annual summer sidewalk sales, also known as Summerfest, with a twist, will include outdoor shopping, restaurant tastes, live music and an array of entertainment.

2. Cruisin' for Critters

• When: Friday, July 12
• Where: Humane Society of Livingston County
• What: Stop by our shelter for Cruisin' for Critters, our first ever classic car show! This is a fun family event with classic cars, food, games, music, face painting and more. All funds donated at the event will benefit our adoptable pets.

3. Teen Movie - Jack the Giant Slayer

• When: Friday, July 12 at 6 p.m.
• Where: Brighton District Library
• What: Bring a friend and check out a newly released movie at the Library! Snacks and beverages will be provided. This month's movie is Jack the Giant Slayer (PG-13), an action-packed retelling of the popular fairy tale.
