Chelsea City Council OKs Kids Fest
The annual event will take place on June 21 at Timbertown Park in Chelsea.

Plans to bring an interactive festival to Chelsea for local youths is taking shape following its approval from the Chelsea City Council on Tuesday.
The council unanimously approved a request for Chelsea Kids’ Fest at Timbertown Park sponsored by American 1 Credit Union.
The annual event, which includes interactive learning activities for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, is scheduled for June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to information provided by the city council, Kids' Fest is "an interactive expo where kids learn while having fun."
"We hope to have more than 20 Chelsea area businesses and organizations signed up to be present at this event," Liz Niles, community relations manager for American 1 Credit Union said. "Each business is asked to have an interactive learning activity and to have some type of giveaway for the kids."
