Chelsea District Library's 'Sonic Sundays' Concert Series Begins on Jan. 13
Musicians throughout Southeast Michigan will perform in Chelsea during January and February.

The Chelsea District Library will begin its “Sonic Sundays” winter music series on Jan. 13.
Performances will take place at various locations around town, and are open to all ages. Registration is not required.
This Sunday features Rev. Robert Jones from 3-4 p.m. in the McKune Room of the library.

A Detroit musician and self-taught guitarist, Jones will perform a selection of blues and folk music. Jones has performd at the National Storytelling Festival, Chicago Blues Festival, and Chelsea’s own Midwest Literary Walk.
The series continues on Jan. 27 at the Chelsea Depot, with a performance by Twas Brillig and the Mazel Toves from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The Ann Arbor folk dance band combines fiddle, trombone, accordion, clarinet, mandolin, and more to create a unique sound that intertwines New England contra with Jewish klezmer. Polka and circle dance instruction will be provided at 1:30 p.m.
