Chelsea First United Methodist Church Plans 'Longest Night' Service of Reflection
Chelsea-area residents are invited to attend a special Christmas service on Dec. 20.

Chelsea First United Methodist Church will host a special Christmas service open to anyone suffering from sadness or holiday depression.
The 'Longest Night" service will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 20.
The holidays can be a particularly hard time for folks suffering from broken relationships and grief due to death or distance, and those with worrisome diagnosis or health concerns.

The service is also open to anyone who wants to get a break from the noisy clamor of advertising and commercialism of Christmas.
"Regardless of where you find yourself this holiday season, the 'Longest Night' service offers a quieter, more meditative service of music, Scripture, candles, prayer, and gentle silence," the church said in a press release.
