• 2 public sessions set for road reconstruction near Chelsea (mlive.com) — Werkner Road just outside downtown Chelsea is slated for a full reconstruction in 2026, and residents can weigh in at two public information sessions in February. One will be held virtually, while the other takes place at Chelsea City Hall. Expect a full road closure with detours during construction, plus wider shoulders and safety improvements when it’s done.
   

• Five Guys almost open, clothing boutiques closing: Jackson headlines Dec. 19-25 (mlive.com) — Among this week’s Jackson-area headlines, Chelsea police reported a man stealing several packages of meat from Polly’s Country Market by hiding them in his pants and leaving without paying.
