Chelsea Man Arrested for Financial Fraud
The following information was supplied by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Officers with the Chelsea Police Department arrested a 21-year-old Chelsea Man near the 600 block of N. Main St. on Nov. 28.
According to police reports, the suspect was wanted on an active felony warrant for fraudulent use of a financial transaction device.
The man was taken to the Chelsea Police Department and processed then taken to the Washtenaw County Jail for arraignment on the charge.

Larceny
On Nov. 27, officers with the Chelsea Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of Flanders St. in response to a larceny complaint. According to police records, the homeowner stated he noticed his "for sale" sign missing on Nov. 27 around 5 p.m. The sign owner indicated it was the second time a sign was removed from the property.

Fraud
On Nov. 27, a Chelsea resident contacted the Chelsea Police and informed officers that his debit card had been fraudulently used to make a large unauthorized purchase. Officers determined that the purchase was made at a Lowe’s in North Carolina. The debit card was still in the owner’s possession at the time of the report. The case is open pending further investigation.
