Chelsea Relay for Life Looking for 2013 Teams

The 24-hour Relay for Life will take place beginning May 18.

The Chelsea Relay for Life is seeking volunteers and teams for this year's event, which takes place on May 18-19 at Pierce Lake Elementary School.

The first planning meeting will take place Jan. 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Woodland Rooms downstairs from the main entrance of the Chelsea Community Hospital, and pizza will be provided.

“By participating in Relay For Life, you are fueling the mission of the American Cancer Society, which is saving lives by helping people Stay Well, Get Well, Find Cures, and Fight Back!,” Max Brennan, a representative from the American Cancer Society told Chelsea Update.

Residents who want to form a team to participate in this year’s relay can attend the Kickoff Party on Feb. 19 from 7-8 p.m. at the Chelsea Train Depot, 125 Jackson St.
