Chelsea's 'Company C' Hosts Concert Choir Showcase Saturday

The annual show will feature choirs from Battle Creek, Greenville, Adrian, Fenton, Tecumseh, and Chelsea.

Chelsea High School's "Company C" show choir will host it's annual showcase Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. at the school's auditorium. The event will feature show choirs from across Michigan.

Schools from Battle Creek, Greenville, Adrian, Fenton, Tecumseh, and Chelsea will perform. Tickets are $10 and are available at Chelsea Pharmacy or at the door.

"This event is a great opportunity for the community to experience what talented performers we have here in Chelsea," said Chelsea director Steve Hinz. "We also get to see what other schools around the state are doing and it's a great warm up for our big show in May."

Company C is a group of choral students from CHS who combine high-energy music and dance routines to entertain audiences in Michigan and the Midwest. The theme for this year's showcase and spring show is "One Voice: Back to Broadway."

"We have a large group of more than 50 kids this year, and they have really embraced the Broadway theme," Hinz said. "It's going to be a great show for people of all ages."
