Chelsea United Way Accepting Donations for 2012 Campaign Through New Year's Eve
Proceeds from the annual campaign will be earmarked for local charities in Chelsea.

The Chelsea United Way is asking residents to open their purses (and wallets) for one final push before the 2012 giving campaign comes to a close.
Campaign organizers have set a goal of $100,000. As of Wednesday, Chelsea United Way President Teresa Zigman said the group has raised roughly $82,000 that it will use to help 14 member agencies in the Chelsea community, according to Heritage Media.
The campaign will run through New Year's Eve.

Zigman said donations to United Way campaigns across the country are down this year due to requests from organizations seeking assistance following Hurricane Sandy and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
To make a donation to the United Way fund, visit the Chelsea United Way website and click the "give" tab. Donors can choose to give online or print out a form to mail to the organization. There also is a way to automatically deduct from accounts at Chelsea State Bank.
