More than $9,000 of equipment was taken from a construction site during the weekend, according to police.

Deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office are investigating the theft of a power generator at a business in the 2000 block of McKernan Drive in Sylvan Township.
The theft occurred during the weekend, according to police.
On March 4, deputies were dispatched to the business in response to a larceny complaint. Construction companies are working at the site building a new car dealership and had left a large pull behind generator, police said.
