Humane Society of Huron Valley Partners with Pics Saving Pets

Customers can purchase specialty items customized with their pet's photo with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) in Ann Arbor has partnered with Oklahoma City-based professional photo lab, Candid Color Systems Inc., and the website, Pics Saving Pets.

How it Works

Supporters of HSHV can upload a photo of their pet to the website and order specialty items customized with their pet’s photo. When an order is placed, 50 percent of the retail dollars spent at www.picssavingpets.com will be donated back to HSHV. Before checking out, you will be prompted to select an organization to be the beneficiary of the purchase. To support HSHV, simply click on Michigan and select HSHV.

An original concept to this site is the idea of sending out adoption announcements when a pet is adopted from HSHV. The cards can be customized with not only your pet’s photo but the adoption date and other original text.

“We’re pleased to have been selected as a new partner,” said Deb Kern, HSHV marketing director. “The merchandise is affordable and durable, and we’re sure people will enjoy buying items with their pet’s photo and at the same time being able to help homeless animals with their purchase.”
