iPod Stolen from Chelsea Employee's Jacket

The following information was supplied by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The Chelsea Police Department is investigating claims that an iPod was removed from a resident's jacket on Nov. 7.

According to police reports, the owner told police he arrived to work in the 1500 block of S. Main St. at about 3 p.m. and placed his coat on a hanger. Later in the evening he went to his coat and discovered the iPod was missing. This case remains open and under investigation.

Chelsea police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Main St. on Nov. 7 in response to a fraudulent check complaint. According to police reports, the business owner stated that a 28-year-old Chelsea woman wrote two separate checks with nonsufficient funds in a three-day period in July 2011 and the business has been unable to collect the money. The case remains open pending further investigation.
