New to Chelsea? Attend the 7th Annual Chelsea Spring Expo

Businesses and vendors will showcase their services at the Washington Street Education Center on April 13.

The 7th annual Chelsea Spring Expo is back with even more vendors and activities for the community.

More than 130 different vendors will be on display at the Washington Street Education Center on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come find out what your community has to offer and enjoy free goodie bags and door prizes. Be sure not to miss the ultimate homemade bake sale offered by the Chelsea Senior Center. With free admission and parking, it’s a fun day and a fun way to explore your community.

β€œChelsea is a great place to live, work, and play, and this annual expo event showcases all that we have to offer. Every year that we organize this event, we enjoy giving back to our community and learning something new about it," Trinh Pifer, Chelsea Senior Center director said.

This year’s event will feature a free concert at 11 a.m. with the Chelsea House Orchestra. The concert is sponsored by the Chelsea Community Hospital.

Throughout the day, a KidZone sponsored by SRSLY Chelsea will offer fun and creative activities including face painting, make your own greeting cards, and start your own seedling.

Be sure to stay after lunch for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Chelsea Volunteer Portal at 1 p.m. Designed to connect volunteers with non-profit organizations and groups in Chelsea, the Volunteer Portal will support and enrich the community.

The annual expo draws more than 100 visitors to Chelsea, according to Bob Pierce, executive director of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.

β€œThe expo offers a fabulous venue to showcase your business to a broad demographic of consumers,” Pierce said.

All exhibits will be indoors, at the Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington Street.

The event is sponsored by Chelsea Community Hospital, Chelsea State Bank, Silver Maples Retirement Community, United Methodist Retirement Communities, Chelsea Hometown Pharmacy, and State Farm Insurance.
