Age 96, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at her home in Chelsea. She was born Jan. 26, 1916 in Waterloo, Mich., the daughter of Homer and Lela (Green) Parks. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Chelsea.

She married Jack W. Murray in 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1980.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Amanda Clark of Grass Lake; and three sisters, Katherine Brauer, Mary Rettig, and Helen Lake. Gladys was preceded in death by two sons, John and Donald, a baby daughter, Jane; her twin sister, Mildred Lantis, a sister, Dorothy Walbrook; and four brothers, Robert, Donald, John and Richard.

Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice or the American Lung Association. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel.
