Rose Kress, 92, of Howell, formerly of Hamtramck, Detroit, Redford, and Oscoda, died Dec. 20, 2012 at Towns Commons Assisted Living in Howell.
She was born June 1, 1920 in Hamtramck, the daughter of Frank and Theresa (Czech) Wojciechowski.
Rose retired to Oscoda with Raymond, where she was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and the Greenbush Seniors. Rose and Raymond were members of the National Doll Collectors Club.

She married Raymond Kress in 1941 at St. Florian Church in Hamtramck. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Theresa Kress of Chelsea, Susan Taylor of West Bloomfield, Barbara Dietz of Solana Beach, Calif..; a son, Robert Kress of Commerce Township; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Ochal; and two sisters, Genevieve Brylewski and Anna Swietkewicz.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of Mikado, Mich.
