Chelsea Senior Center and Chelsea Area Fire Authority Collaborate to Keep Seniors Safe at Home (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea-area seniors can now get free emergency lock boxes and reflective address signs through a partnership between the Chelsea Senior Center and Chelsea Area Fire Authority, funded by the county’s Older Persons Millage. These tools help firefighters quickly find and enter homes in emergencies, and are available to residents in Chelsea and surrounding townships by completing simple forms at the Senior Center or fire station.
   

2. A New Curriculum Approach for Chelsea Elementary Students (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea elementary families are seeing early benefits from a new, districtwide Collaborative Classroom literacy curriculum now fully implemented at North Creek and South Meadows. Teachers report stronger student engagement, foundational reading skills, and consistent routines across grades, all aligned with Michigan’s science-of-reading standards. Leaders say this unified approach should support Chelsea students’ reading growth from kindergarten through fifth grade.
   

3. Chelsea City Council Appoints 8 Residents to Boards and Commissions; Reappoints Iannelli as Mayor Pro Tem (chelseaupdate.com) — Chelsea City Council has filled key seats on local boards, appointing residents to the Education and Recreation Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Human Rights Commission while reappointing members to the Downtown Development Authority. Long-time council member Tony Iannelli was also unanimously reappointed as mayor pro tem, shaping who helps guide city projects, parks, and community programs in the coming years.
   

4. Dec. 16: Independence Hall Holiday Boutique Shopping (chelseaupdate.com) — Chelsea High School’s Independence Hall students are hosting a Holiday Boutique Pop-Up Shop on Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., open to the whole community. Shoppers can enter at Door #4 to find treats, decorations, and gifts, with all proceeds supporting life-skills field trips for Chelsea students with special needs.
   

5. Chelsea Wrestlers Claim Mustang Invitational Title (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea High School wrestlers just dominated Northville’s Mustang Invitational, going 5-0 and beating the host Mustangs 52-27 in the championship dual. The Bulldogs posted two shutouts, relied on pins across the lineup, and saw standout performances from wrestlers like Max Collins, Hunter Burk, James Radu, and Tanner Linde throughout the day.
