• Chelsea city manager search draws dozens of applicants (wemu.org) — Chelsea is closing in on hiring its next city manager, with new mayor Kate Henson saying several dozen well-qualified candidates have already applied to replace former manager Martin Colburn. City council is looking for someone who can collaborate closely with staff, maintain recent progress, and quickly address any gaps or challenges without overhauling everything. A finalist is expected to be chosen by January.

• Jan. 5: Chelsea Area Historical Society's ‘Speaking of Pleasantville' (chelseaupdate.com) — Chelsea Area Historical Society is inviting residents to a Jan. 5, 2026 storytelling evening at the historic Train Depot, where longtime locals will reminisce about growing up in Chelsea in the 1950s and ’60s. Hosted by Chelsea’s own Linda Meloche, the program offers a warm, first-hand look at Main Street memories, old businesses, and everyday life from a bygone era.
