Sign the Chelsea Petition Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Chelsea.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Chelsea to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. For your information

The City of Chelsea has been approached about contributing $15,000 to next year's AATA budget. This would go to wards helping fund the Chelsea-Ann Arbor Express Route. The City Council has received this request from AATA just recently - so, the $15,000 is not included in the Chelsea budget at this point in time. 2. Need to know

A public hearing to receive public comment on a proposed amendment to the rate schedules for water, wastewater and electric utilities within the City of Chelsea will be held Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Chelsea Municipal Building.

3. Need to Know

The Bushel Basket Market has been open since 2007 and serves the Chelsea Community Hospital service area. The market is open vvery Wednesday afternoon
2:30 pm to 6 p.m.

4. In case you missed it

Members of the Venture Crew 357 were out in Lima Township performing a spring cleaning of the Lima Center Cemetery, according to the Chelsea Update. (Read full story here.)

  • Road work in Chelsea

Next week, there will be overnight single lane closures on I-94 just east of Fletcher Road (Exit 162) for pavement repairs. The closure will be in place each night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16.
