River Gallery Marks 10th Anniversary with Artist Showcase on Feb. 9

An artist reception will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery on Main Street in Chelsea.

The River Gallery in Chelsea will celebrate its 10th anniversary by showcasing various Michigan artists at a special reception on Feb. 9.

The downtown Chelsea gallery will kick-off the display titled, "No Plan B," that will run through March 16.

On Feb. 9, the River Gallery will host a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. during Chelsea's fifth annual Chocolate Extravaganza, a day-long event downtown celebrating everything chocolate.

River Gallery opened its doors 10 years ago and has been nourishing the arts community of Southeastern Michigan ever since. Representing many local, regional, and national artists, the gallery boasts a reputation of producing six exhibitions annually to critical and commercial success.

Over the years, not only has the River Gallery brought art to many residential, corporate and healthcare spaces, but also has curated numerous off-site exhibits at a variety of locations, from Rackham Graduate School at the University of Michigan, to outdoor sculpture exhibits at private residences.

The gallery designs and produces “Sculpture Walk Chelsea,” an annual outdoor rotating sculpture exhibition in the city of Chelsea.
