Robin Hill Farm Will Offer Tapas Night

The food and beverage night features instruction from a Cordon Bleu and Sur La Table chef.

If you’ve always wanted to know how to put together the perfect plate of tapas, Robin Hills Farm has it covered. Friday from 6 p.m. til 8 p.m., the local foodie destination will offer a presentation by a cooking instructor who will lead the group through “a sampling of authentic Spanish tapas.” Participants are invited to bring their favorite beverage. The $35 ticket price includes all food and materials.

The event will be led by D.A. Reid, a Chelsea resident and chef. Reid has worked as a chef instructor for the Cordon Blue, and as a cooking instructor and resident chef for Sur La Table. The tapas night is part of a new set of Friday food experiences at Robin Hills Farm, which will explore different cuisines every week.

Robin Hills Farm offers classes and other experiences aimed at bringing people awareness of sustainable practices with food. The facility hopes to “model practical and sustainable applications and innovations in an agricultural setting while connecting people to the land through agriculture, ecology, and conservation.” The farm has community gardens, a 6-acre vegetable garden, hoop houses, a greenhouse and aquaponics (fish rearing) program, walking trials and opportunities to interact with animals like chickens and sheep.
