Second Annual Festival of Tables Set for Feb. 2.
Chelsea-area community groups will decorate festive tables to raise money for the Chelsea Senior Center.

Are you looking for a way to fight the winter blues?
The second annual Chelsea Festival of Tables will take place on Feb. 2. Come meet other community members and groups and browse tables with fun and unique themes.
The lineup for this year includes themes such as “UM/MSU House Divided," “Enchanted World of Gnomes and Fairies," “Baker’s Dozen Book Club," and “An Afternoon with Monet."

Several community groups will also decorate a table to represent their organization, including the Adult Learners Institute, SRSLY Chelsea, Chelsea Area Garden Club, and Youth Dance Theater.
Tickets are $20. Lunch will be provided by Laura’s Catering and will include rolls from the Common Grill. Doors open at 11 a.m. for viewing and voting of all the different themed tables, with lunch served at noon.
Last year, the event drew roughly 100 visitors, and the committee anticipates an even larger turnout this year.

“I am always amazed at the number of fresh, new, creative table themes the hosts and hostesses develop and can hardly wait to see the results. What a wonderful break from the gray days of winter," Sharon Pignanelli, event chairperson said.
The event will be held at the St. Mary Church parish hall, 14200 E. Old US-12 in Chelsea.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the Chelsea Senior Center until Jan. 25.
All proceeds from this event help support the Chelsea Senior Center.

The Chelsea Senior Center is located in the Washington Street Education Center at 512 E. Washington St. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
